Mike Bergthold, CFE

Mike Bergthold, a highly-experienced turnaround executive, reduces complex problems into actionable plans to drive immediate and measurable results. He leverages over 30 years of experience advising public and private companies on strategy, finance and accounting to serve as CRO, financial advisor, interim executive or in a strategic board role for troubled companies.

In completing successful turnarounds, Mike manages all aspects of designing and implementing restructuring strategies, leads capital raises and negotiates with lenders and investors. He leads clients through complex legal processes in formal and informal reorganizations. By achieving unity among disparate creditor and investor groups, clients become renewed, recapitalized and viable business enterprises.

Mike was a licensed CPA in California and Arizona for 25 years. Prior to joining Stapleton Group,  he held positions at EY and Andersen and was a senior executive at accounting and IT outsourcing firms. Mike’s industry experience includes agriculture, diagnostic laboratory, professional services, real estate, transportation, IT services and manufacturing.
