Michelle Papenfuss

Michelle is a financial fiduciary with extensive experience managing large federal equity receiverships. She adeptly manages restructuring and turnaround matters, conducting forensic investigations, overseeing operations and cash management, providing credible financial reporting, and helping clients navigate negotiations with creditors and claimants to achieve optimal outcomes.

Prior to joining Stapleton Group, Michelle worked under a federal equity receiver as Vice President, Finance of a large, private equity company in receivership. Drawing on her background as a financial analyst and treasury associate, she managed company operations and successfully executed multiple distribution rounds to defrauded investors. As part of the receivership team, she conducted an in-depth forensic investigation, producing the forensic report utilized by the federal court.
